The emphasis in this course is placed upon employer/employee relationships. It is based on the idea that information about and experience with Transactional Analysis can help adolescents and adults to understand some of the powerful dynamics that can happen among people. Once those dynamics are understood, the student can access experience to make choices about how they respond and can begin to take responsibility for their choices. This can lead to maturity. The sessions include: (1) certification requirement credits and attitudes; (2) introduction to Parent, Adult, and Child; (3) dealing with anger, turning Child responses into Adult responses; (4) employer/employee communications, responding to rules, and employer expectations; (5) child labor laws, work permits, applications for employment, and resumes; (6) interviewing skills and certificates of completion.
