Work Force Oklahoma. Labor Supply and Demand Report 1989.
Oklahoma State Dept. of Vocational and Technical Education, Stillwater. Oklahoma State Occupational Information Coordinating Committee.
This statistical report was developed to inform administrators and planners in economic development, education, and employment and training in Oklahoma of the direction and magnitude of employment change in the state. The publication projects occupational and industrial growth and decline for the period 1986-1992, as well as the relationship between formal training program completers and labor market demand. The book replaces the 1984 edition with these new features: higher education completers added to the list of available entrants into the labor force (supply); a special section on unemployed claimants reported for each cluster and listed below the supply and demand reports; and detailed indexes for ease of use. The statistics are organized in the following two sections: summary of growth trends (top 40 occupations by annual growth, top 40 occupations by annual openings, fastest declining occupations); and supply/demand interface, listed by occupational cluster numbers in multiples of 10 (0010-1910). Information is indexed alphabetically by program titles, occupational titles, and cluster titles; and numerically by Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) codes, occupational codes, and cluster numbers.
