This compendium contains information on current policies and practices relative to issues of conflicts of interest and accreditation. Information was submitted, in response to a questionnaire, by 53 national, regional, and specialized accrediting bodies that are recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation. The compendium presents each of their reported policies and procedures relating to the accreditation process and the avoidance of conflicts of interest. Among the issues covered by the various organizations are the following: site visit preparation and procedures; board composition and site team selection; appeals; ethics; accreditation report review process; affirmative action policy; and matters of confidentiality.
