This document presents witnesses' testimonies and additional information from the Senate hearing held in Miami, Florida to examine the issue of preventive health services, focusing on risk reduction and health promotion programs for the elderly. Lee Monifit Cancer Center, University of South Florida, Tampa; (8) Jack Kassan, medical director, Broward County Medivan, Fort Lauderdale; and (9) Sally Kanter-Bruin, St. Mary's Hospital, Mammovan Project, West Palm Beach. Witnesses describe efforts being conducted by their organizations and emphasize the need for preventive health activities for older adults. (NB)
