Compiled as part of a study of the managerial competencies of research librarians, this annotated bibliography includes sources that relate to the knowledges, skills, and attitudes of managerial personnel, with implications for research librarians. Sources pertaining to competency research methodology are also included. The bibliography is arranged in three sections, according to the relevance of the sources to the study: the first section contains 42 references judged to be of the greatest relevance; the second section lists 25 references that were also considered relevant; and the third section includes 10 references that might also be of interest.
