Computer and Television Equipment Report from Statewide Survey in October 1985.

The 1985 Computer and Television Equipment Survey was, for microcomputers, the third statewide assessment of equipment in South Carolina schools and school district offices. This report provides a comparison of data from the 2 previous years where appropriate to give educators evidence of trends for decision making in the use of technology in education. Data on the following are shown in tabular form: (1) changes in the number of computers in schools and district offices by brand; (2) changes in the number of computers in schools and district offices by use, including computer-assisted/computer-managed instruction, administrative uses, printers, and the ratio of computers to students; (3) number of instructional and administrative uses of computers by school level; (4) number of computers in schools and the ratio of computers to schools; (5) frequency of K-12 schools per number of computers from 1-2 computers to 10 or more; and (6) statewide school television, videotape recorder, and computer equipment reported by districts.
