"Effective Use of Technology with Young Children" (Mary L. Wilds) notes skills needed for interactive use of computers, selection of battery-operated toys and switches, and introducing young children to computers. "Integrating Technology into a Student's IEP" (Ruth Bragman) reviews technology in the context of students' individualized education programs (IEPs), discussing hardware adaptations, student assessment/evaluation considerations, traditional and technological considerations, and selection of devices and software and identification of their operational characteristics. "Starting the Funding Process" (Suzanne Ripley) offers families suggestions for acquiring funding for assistive technology.
