Telling Our School Library Story
Bush, Gail
Knowledge Quest, v36 n1 p40-43 Sep-Oct 2007
Librarians are effective in sharing their best practices with each other. Learning from each other is crucial, but not sharing their stories with other members of the school learning community keeps them wondering exactly what it is that librarians do. In this article, the author offers steps that can guide librarians to write for publications outside the school library field: (1) keep a writer's journal; (2) consider the audience; (3) select a publication; and (4) tell the story.
