A national survey was conducted using a structured interview to investigate the status of school counseling models in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Findings determined that 17 states have established models, 24 states are progressing in model implementation, and 10 states are at a beginning stage of model development. Implications for state-level practice, professional advocacy, school counseling policy, and future research are discussed. (Contains 1 figure and 2 tables.)
