Horizons: A Guide to Postsecondary Education in Ontario, 1987/88.
Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities, Toronto.
A guide for high school graduates provides information on postsecondary programs in Ontario, Canada, as well as student costs and financial aid. Programs offered by universities and colleges of applied arts and technology are briefly summarized, along with other educational options. Most programs offered at colleges of applied arts and technology are described in institutional listings in four categories: applied arts or arts and science--general and applied, business, health sciences, and technology. The listing also includes descriptions of college preparatory programs for academic upgrading, alternative programs, continuing education, and special programs. These include colleges of agricultural technology, hospital and business schools, and correspondence study. Requirements for general admission and for specific programs are listed, along with charts that indicate for each school: apprenticeship programs, diploma programs by field, certificate programs, and degree programs. The charts also specify the language of instruction (French or bilingual) and the level of instruction. An index listing each program is cross-referenced to the charts. The institutional profiles also include information on: full- and part-time enrollment and campus locations. (SW)
