The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, Form 14 (ASVAB-14) is a multiple aptitude test battery designed for use for civilian, as well as military, career counseling. This manual is designed for use by school guidance counselors in administration and interpretation of results of the ASVAB-14. The 1984 revision of this instrument includes improved utility in measuring vocational aptitude, increased reliability, and nationally representative norms. The ten subtests are described and may be combined to yield academic or occupational composites. The manual provides information on test administration procedures, technical characteristics, score interpretation, and report forms. Appendices include a history of the ASVAB, sample test items, descriptive statistics, "The ASVAB and the Military," and "The Military Career Guide." Seven sample handouts for examinees are also apppended. (DWH)
