Karl Bruhn, professor of education at Helsinki University for almost 20 years, in addition to writing a history of education, concentrated particularly on carrying out further investigations with his Helsinki Test which was publicly released in 1953. The use of this test is presented in this posthumous article by Bruhn. The Helsinki Test is a simplification of the Rorschach-type technique, designed so it is possible for the constructor, using relatively simple mathematical procedures, to replace to a relatively great extent, the subjective evaluations that the Rorschach user is commonly confronted with. Instructions for using the test are presented in four sections: (1) experimental apparatus and environment; (2) scoring and different response variables; (3) evaluation of intelligence; and (4) description of character qualities.
