In the second article, "Clotille Nutt, Versatile Friend" (Teri Alexander; Stacy Templeton; Grant Stephenson), Nutt, a resident of Carthage (Texas), tells stories of her life chopping cotton and working on her farm. In the final article, "Sandra Youngblood" (Sabrina Wilkerson; Joann Jones), Youngblood, a resident of Gary (Texas), provides stories of her childhood and how it differed from current student experiences that she observes during her work in the Gary High School cafeteria.
