Family issues are the main focus of this document, one in a series of seven bibliographies dealing with rehabilitation of disabled Native Americans. The 23 annotated entries were identified through a comprehensive search of relevant data bases covering the years 1966-1986 and were selected to be of use to consumers, policy makers, direct service providers, researchers, advocates, and parents. Each entry includes complete bibliographic information and an annotation of approximately 154 words. Entries all relate to Native Americans and deal with a wide variety of family issues. Specific topics include Navajo kinship and residence, Anglo adoption of Native Americans, traditional Indian medicine, psychological and social concerns of adolescents, the Indian Child Welfare Act, Alaskan Eskimo childhood, social service delivery systems in Native American communities, and child rearing practice.
