A product of the Four Worlds Development Project which is dedicated to eliminating alcohol and drug abuse in Canadian Native societies by 2000, the annotated bibliography cites more than 275 resources dealing with the prevention of alcohol and drug abuse. Subject categories include adolescent alcohol and drug abuse, children of alcoholics, fetal alcohol syndrome, health, nutrition, and education and human development. A separate section cites 95 publications of 10 alcohol and drug information organizations. Curriculum materials are arranged by age level from elementary through adult. Listed alphabetically by title under subject categories, citations provide bibliographic information about title, author, publisher, date and place of publication, plus an abstract and audience recommendations. While the bibliography contains no table of contents or indexes, cross reference notes at the end of many sections indicate the categories and pages where related materials are listed.
