This planning report provides information about the types and magnitude of educational services to be provided by Washington State's community colleges from 1985 to 1900. The purpose of the plan, the planning process, and the report's format are presented and the mission of the community colleges in providing transfer/vocational education, basic skills programs, and contractual and personal enrichment courses is described. A systemwide look at plans for the period is provided, including a general statement of priorities; an overview of improvements needed in the areas of instructional equipment, basic skills instruction, faculty and staff development, and other elements of college operations; planned activities to increase enrollments; an analysis of factors affecting enrollment plans; and projections for facilities improvements. Summaries of the individual community college district plans include a description of the district's service area, a statement of goals, program plans, enrollment projections, and facilities plans.
