This article notes that the increase of incidence in human papillomavirus infection has resulted in more frequent anogenital warts in children. Use of a child abuse case-finding checklist in the emergency department of a large children's hospital (Montreal, Canada) identified 39 (of 2,211 accident patients) for further evaluation of which 28 (1.3%) were presumed to be victims of abuse or neglect.
