Planning for the Increase in Foreign-Born Students.
Gregory, Sheila
Planning for Higher Education, v26 n1 p23-28 Fall 1997
Demographic trends suggest colleges and universities will be enrolling record numbers of foreign-born students, and must prepare to introduce this population to the distinctive practices and standards of American higher education. Suggestions include redesigning the orientation program, establishing strong English language instruction, improving advising and counseling, training faculty and staff, and seeking scholarships for this group.
