The report presents the proposed institutional performance objectives each of Indiana's public institutions of higher education for 1989-91. Performance objectives are presented for Indiana University, Purdue University, Indiana State University, University of Southern Indiana, Ball State University, Vincennes University, and Indiana Vocational Technical College. Representative performance objectives are: emphasize the education experience of undergraduate students and faculty-student interactions; increase support for state and local economic growth, increase the participation and success rates of minority students; attract and retain high quality faculty; replace and enhance computing equipment for academic uses; improve effectiveness of remedial programs; increase assessment of student learning; improve access to library materials; and increase student financial assistance.
