This task analysis guide is intended to help teachers and administrators develop instructional materials and implement competency-based education in the agricultural science and mechanics courses. Section 1 contains a validated task inventory for agricultural science and mechanics I and II. For each task, applicable information pertaining to performance and enabling objectives, criterion-referenced measures, and suggested instructional activities and aids is provided. In this section, tasks are arranged by worker duty area only, and no attempt is made to sequence tasks in instructional order. Section 2 provides descriptions of the agricultural science and mechanics courses. These materials follow: suggested task sequence listings and course outlines for agricultural science and mechanics I and II. The instructional topics within the course outlines have been cross-referenced with corresponding task/competency codes from the task inventory in Section 1.
