The Environmental Quality Instructional Resources Center in Columbus, Ohio, acquires, reviews, indexes, and announces both print (books, modules, units, etc.) and non-print (films, slides, video tapes, etc.) materials related to water quality and water resources education and instruction. In addition some materials related to pesticides, hazardous wastes, and public participation are included. Each entry in the resume section of this document provides, where appropriate: (1) the title; (2) the publication date; (3) the name(s) of the author(s); (4) a set of descriptors assigned to the entry for the purpose of indexing; (5) the number of pages; (6) an abstract describing the entry; and (7) information on the availability of the complete document. Also included in this publication are procedures to illustrate how instructors and curriculum developers in the water quality control field can locate instructional materials which meet general or highly specific requirements of their programs.
