This report outlines student performance results from the Texas Assessment of Academic Skills (TAAS) for the 1997-1998 school year as well as results from the Spanish TAAS tests and the Biology I and Algebra I end-of-course examinations. Data represent test results for students not in special education. The chapters are: (1) "Executive Summary"; (2) "Assessment Program Overview"; (3) "TAAS Results by Grade Level: Spring 1998"; (4) "End-of-Course Examinations: Spring 1998"; (5) "Benchmark Testing: Spring 1998"; (6) "TAAS and End-of-Course Regional Results"; and (7) "A Study of the Correlation of Course Performance and TAAS Performance on the Grade 3 TAAS Reading Test."
