Self esteem is found to be significantly related to feelings toward parents and peers in grade 8 and 11 subjects. If a developmental shift in the relationship between self esteem and feelings toward friends occurs, it does so slowly, showing only a slight beginning by the 11th grade. (Author/DEP)
