The Relationship of Children's Television Viewing to Achievement at the Intermediate Level.
Quisenberry, Nancy L.; Klasek, Charles B.
This study investigated the television viewing habits of 341 intermediate grade children and examined the relationship between their viewing habits and their achievement scores based on standardized tests. Weekly viewing diaries were used to record information on television viewing. The study does not support either the premise that television assists children in school or that it is detrimental. Eleven data tables are provided. (STS)
