The Effects of Overgeneralizing Ethnic Categories in Educational Evaluation.
Power, Kikuyo M.; And Others
Studies in Educational Evaluation, v19 n1 p15-23 1993
Performance of students of different ethnic backgrounds was studied as they progressed through a traditional academic curriculum. Data from 328 male and 304 female graduates of a Hawaiian laboratory school between 1975 and 1986 demonstrate familiar patterns of ethnic differences in school achievement. Implications for multiethnic societies are discussed. (SLD)
