Simon, Alan J.; Joiner, Lee M. – Journal of Educational Measurement, 1976
The purpose of this study was to determine whether a Mexican version of the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test could be improved by directly translating both forms of the American test, then using decision procedures to select the better item of each pair. Tillinghast, B. S., Jr.; And Others – Journal of Educational Research, 1983
A study using the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test (Revised) was conducted to determine whether the increase in reliability when both Forms L and M were employed justified the increase in time required for the longer procedure. Children in grades four, five, and six were involved in the project. (PP)

Rochner, Sandra – Psychology in the Schools, 1978
This report is a review of reliability data on the PPVT obtained from 32 research studies published between 1965 and 1974. Stevenson, James D., Jr. – Journal of Clinical Psychology, 1986
Investigated the relaionships among the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test Revised (PPVT-R) alternate forms and the relationship of each PPVT-R form with the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Revised (WAIS-R). Coleman, Marilyn; And Others – Psychology in the Schools, 1980
The mean IQ on the Slosson Intelligence Test (SIT) was substantially higher than expected based on the earlier Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test (PPVT) scores. Sampling error and examiner error were excluded as explanations. Results suggest that the PPVT and SIT yield different scores and lack comparability. (Author)
