Responses of selectors and nonselectors indicated no significant differences between groups at the social-emotional adjustment level. However, selectors were not only more interested in reflective thought and academic activities but were also less conservative and authoritarian than nonselectors. As a group, selectors were distinctly more self-actualized. (Author)
