School District Report Card on Student Testing for the 1998-99 School Year.
Oklahoma State Dept. of Education, Oklahoma City.
This report contains state and school district student testing results for the Oklahoma Testing Program for the 1998-99 school year. Several benchmarks are reported, including the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills (ITBS), Oklahoma Core Curriculum Tests (OCCT), and American College Test Assessment (ACT) results. The National Assessment of Educational Progress results released in 1999 are included on the state summary page. The results are presented in a report card format, using graphs to provide a clear and understandable picture of each district's performance. The ITBS was given to all public school students in Oklahoma in grades 3 and 7. The OCCT are designed to measure student skill performance on the academic skills of the state's core curriculum. The OCCT were given to students in grades 5, 8, and 11 in numerous subject areas. These benchmarks provide information on how well students are meeting the academic standards established by the Oklahoma State Board of Education. The school district report cards, which contain performance graphs, are listed alphabetically, with each of the 547 school districts alphabetized within the 77 counties. (SLD)
