Dong, Hei-Ki; And Others – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1986
The relationships were examined between the Ball Aptitude Battery (BAB) and the Comprehensive Ability Battery, Differential Aptitude Tests, and General Aptitude Test Battery. Results showed adequate convergent and discriminant validities for all BAB tests except inductive reasoning, which was factorially complex. (Author/GDC)

Knapp, Robert R.; And Others – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1977
Test-retest reliability coefficients for the brief Career Ability Placement Survey and concurrent validity correlations against the Differential Aptitude Tests and the General Aptitude Test Battery are presented for samples of ninth and tenth grade students. (Author/JKS)

Dohm, Thomas E.; Sung, Yong H. – 1982
This report examines the construct validity of the Ball Aptitude Battery (BAB), a multiple ability test battery designed to measure aptitudes related to successful work behavior. Construct validation has focused attention on the role of psychological theory and on the need to formulate hypotheses that can be examined in the validation process.…

Hakstian, A. Ralph; Bennet, Richard W. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1978
Three multiple-abilities batteries--the Comprehensive Ability Battery, Differential Aptitude Tests, and General Aptitude Test Battery--are briefly discussed, and results of a study involving cross-correlations of the tests in these batteries are presented. (Author/JKS)

Thorndike, Robert L. – Multivariate Behavioral Research, 1985
Double cross-validation of a test battery against multiple criterion variables found the first general factor accounts for most criterion variance in cross-validated regression weights. Small contributions are made by mechanical/technical and psychomotor factors. It appears a common general factor plays the major role in validity for a range of…

Gold, Ann M. – Measurement and Evaluation in Guidance, 1977
Separate-sex norms are no longer applicable for the interpretation of aptitude test scores. The Differential Aptitude Tests must adopt combined-sex norms in order to remain as an effective measurement and counseling instrument. (Author)

Dohm, Thomas E.; Sung, Yong H. – 1984
This study was part of a longitudinal research project to establish the validity of the Ball Aptitude Battery (BAB) relative to various academic criteria. The BAB is a multiple ability test battery of specific work skills for use in career counseling. Previous research has demonstrated that adequate validity coefficients exist for both job…

Korean Inst. for Research in the Behavioral Sciences, Seoul. – 1970
According to a survey report of the Student Guidance Center at the Seoul National University, approximately thirty percent of the freshmen expressed the desire to be transferred to other departments. It was further reported that more than forty percent of them list the unsuitability of their academic departments to their interests and aptitudes as…

McBride, James R. – 1986
An overview of the development of a computerized version of the Differential Aptitude Tests (DAT) is presented. It describes the previously existing printed version of the DAT, design of the computerized adaptive edition, calibration of the test items for use in the computerized version, and two field studies that compared the Adaptive and…

Wang, Lin – 1993
The Differential Aptitude Test (DAT) is a multiple aptitude battery designed to measure junior and senior high school students' and adults' ability to learn or succeed in certain areas. The test is suitable for group administration and is primarily for use in educational and vocational counseling, although it may be used in employee selection. The…
