Evaluates the degree to which the Counselor Rating Form (CRF) can distinguish students at the beginning and the end of a prepracticum experience. Although the social influence constructs of Attractiveness, Trustworthiness and Expertness were not specifically taught, there were significant increases in the level of these constructs. (Author)

Counseling interviews (N=19) were rated on the Counselor Rating Form in terms of perceived counselor expertness, attractiveness, and trustworthiness. Results indicated all three sources of perceptions were similar, although counselors rated their own behavior as significantly less expert than their clients. (Author)

A sample of 17 counselor trainees conducted two interviews with two internship.
