Martens, Matthew P.; Brown, Natashia T.; Donovan, Brooke M.; Dude, Kim
Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, v38 n3 p164 Oct 2005
A commonly used instrument to assess negative consequences of substance use among college students is the Core Alcohol and Drug Survey (CADS; C. A. Presley, P. W. Meilman, & J. S. Leichliter, 1998; C. A. Presley, P. W. Meilman, & R. Lyerla, 1993). Results from 2 studies suggest that a subset of CADS negative consequences items can be explained by 2 factors, which the authors named "Personal Consequences" and "Consequences With Others."
