Designed to help university and college faculty, academic administrators, and testing personnel select appropriate tests for college admission, this booklet provides a comparative description of the three physics examinations offered by the College Board. In separate sections, the following topics are covered: faculty involvement in test development; preparation for and uses of the Admissions Testing Program (ATP) Achievement Test in Physics, Advanced Placement (AP) B examination, and Advanced Placement (AP) C examination; abilities measured in the tests; differences and similarities among the tests; college student and AP candidate performance on the tests; and test data.
