Donald Campbell McNutt

After completing house jobs Donald Campbell McNutt joined the Royal Navy for his national service and obtained a permanent commission in 1954. He enjoyed flying and completed observer training and trained as a ship’s diver.
In 1955 he served at the Royal Air Force Institute of Aviation Medicine, Farnborough, where he took part in underwater escape experiments and worked on survival techniques involving ejector seats, for which he was awarded …
