I always wanted to be a surgeon. I was once told that I didn’t have the “right personality” to succeed. I didn’t listen. Maybe I should have, maybe it was correct. For a start I’m female, and I would be the first to admit that I don’t have the “stereotypical surgical personality” … or so I thought.
