The recommended practices for the measurement of antenna transmitting and receiving properties are presented. Many individuals and organizations are involved in the design, manufacture, measurement, and use of antennas for many different applications. This standard is intended to provide a guideline into the typical methods and procedures used to characterize the performance of typical antennas. This recommended practice is not intended to be all-encompassing or to strictly define strict procedures. Its purpose is to provide someone practiced in the art of antennas the knowledge to perform quality measurements and to interpret the results of antenna measurements.
