File Cabinet
In September 2020, the IEEE Xplore File Cabinet will include new features and functionality.

Here are the changes:
- File cabinet content will be accessible on the search results page.
- The UI will be fully mobile responsive.
- Additional features previously only available on the file cabinet page are now integrated into the search results page including:
- Sorting by download date
- Inclusion of download date next to each article
- Ability to filter contents by month downloaded
- Inclusion of counter to determine number of documents used and remaining
- Icons will be simplified to be more intuitive (green unlock icon is now used for content that users have access to or can be added to the file cabinet). A green checkmark will continue to be shown on listing pages for any documents already added to the file cabinet.
- Users will be able to take advantage of the facets available on the search results page to more easily find documents. You will be able to narrow results by author, publication title, affiliation, conference location, and more.
- More intuitive options to add items to the file cabinet (either by clicking on the PDF or selecting the + File Cabinet link).
- The usage panel included in the header will be redesigned for an improved user experience.
- The "Add to Cabinet" prompt will be redesigned for a more user friendly experience.
- The process for providing chargeback information (where applicable) will be streamlined to eliminate the number of steps required to add documents to the cabinet.
- If a user has both an institutional cabinet and MDL, new documents added will default to be added to your institutional cabinet.
