Purpose:The purpose of this guide is to provide comprehensive off-line test methods and provide reasonable evaluation of current collection performance for high-speed railway.

Abstract:

This guide provides comprehensive test methods for the pantograph off-line and the reasonable evaluation for the performance of current collection system in high-speed railway. Model for the arcing erosion, as well as the off-line induced transient overvoltage and harmonics, which impact the onsite devices’ safety are included.
Scope:
This guide specifies the requirement and testing methods for the pantograph off-line, covering the aspects of the mechanics, optics, electro-magnetics, and acoustics. Principles of the data interpretation are also included. In addition, models for the arcing erosion, as well as the off-line induced overvoltage and harmonics, which impact the onsite devices’ safety, are included.

The purpose of this guide is to provide comprehensive off-line test methods and provide reasonable evaluation of current collection performance for high-speed railway.
