China’s ratio of male to female babies remains high despite sixth annual fall

China recorded 115.88 boys born for every 100 girls in 2014, data from the National Health and Family Planning Commission have shown. This is the sixth year in a row that the ratio has fallen since 2009, when it stood at 119.45.
